::*****INTRODUCTION*****
::
::It's been weeks since the stay-at-home order...
::The coronavirus continues its rampage through your city, but now you're prepared.
::Armed with the ultimate antidotes and some "super" upgrades to your house (note the cape),
::get ready to blast your way through wave after wave of COVID-19 baddies,
::before they bust through your in-home defense.
::
::Meanwhile, some crafty strains are trying to infect the citizens directly,
::make more viruses, and take over the whole town.
::It'll take time to rebuild if that happens, so do what it takes to keep everyone safe and healthy!
::
::
::The COVID Trek vx.x [U] [h].bin romhack is distributed as an IPS patch,
::which should each be patched to an original NTSC Defender Atari 2600 ROM.
::
::Use a tool like LunarIPS (Windows) or UniPatcher (Android) to patch your Defender ROM.
::The patched ROM then can be opened and played via several emulators, including in Windows,
::Linux, and Android environments.
::
::The following is a list of known Windows or Android emulators within which this ROM works;
::note that it also works with Raspberry Pi/RetroArch.
::
::Windows--
::1) Stella 6.0
::2) RetroArch build date Feb 3 2019
::
::Android--
::1) 2600.emu v1.5.37
::
::
::*****TOOLS USED*****
::1) DASM
::2) XVI32
::3) Stella 6.0

::*****INSTRUCTIONS*****
::Head over to AtariAge for instructions on how to play the original game.
::This hack does not modify gameplay but rather converts sprites to mimic
::certain Dr. Mario and Space Invaders sprites used in my COVID Captives hack.

::
::*****SPECIAL THANKS*****
::1) To Bob Polaro, for the original 2600 game.
::2) To Nick Bensema & Manuel Polik, for the original reverse engineering of the game.
::3) To Andrew Davie, for his awesome Atari 2600 Programming for Newbies guide.
::4) To my folks, for buying such a fun game back in '84, just after the Video Game Crash.
